IMPORTANT EVENTS

I. ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

B Pharm. and D Pharm. students were welcomed to the institute on the occasion of orientation Programme at DIPSAR, auditorium. Director, Prof. (Dr) S. S. Agrawal gave all the new students a welcome address and introduced them to the faculty, administrative staff, laboratory assistants and offi ce employees of DIPSAR. He congratulated the freshers for joining a premier Pharmacy institute and for taking up a highly successful career in pharmacy.

II. STUDENT’S UNION ELECTION

III. FRESHER'S DAY

The Fresher’s day was celebrated on 11 Sep 2009 in DIPSAR auditorium. All the freshers enthusiastically participated in this programme. Ms. and Mr.Fresher were Divya Sharma and Pratik, respectively.

III. VISIT OF GAMBIAN DELEGATION

A Gambian Delegation visited DIPSAR on 28 Aug 2009 and took home some wonderful ideas and inspiration to begin their own journey in the realms of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

IV. LOHRI CELEBRATION

Lohri was celebrated with great pomp on 14th Jan 2009 by lighting the fire. Lohri is a festival of joy and happiness and every year it is celebrated at DIPSAR with great zeal and enthusiasm.

V. TEACHERS DAY

Students used the opportunity of Teachers’ Day to the fullest by expressing their respect, adoration and love for their teachers by organizing a beautiful function on 5th Sep 2009. Teachers had a day off from teaching and enjoyed while students performed and gave away titles and gifts to their beloved mentors.

VI. GURUPURAB

The auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev ji’s Gurupurab was celebrated on 18th Nov 2008 in the DIPSAR auditorium. The students organized Kirtan and guru ka langar. Gurudwara Head addressed the gathering regarding various aspects about Guru Nanak Dev ji and his teachings.

VII. ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

We DIPSARians fi rmly believe “all work and no play makes us dull” Students as well as Staff participate enthusiastically in various events organized during the annual sports day.DIPSAR with its fully equipped Gymnasium and Swimming Pool gives students an edge over the other institute. Annual Sports Day was held
on 12th Feb 2010. All the students and Staff participated enthusiastically in various events like races, shot put, discus throw, javelin, long jump, high jump, etc.

VIII. NATIONAL PHARMACY WEEK

The second week of November was celebrated as National Pharmacy Week from 10th-14th of November, in DIPSAR Auditorium. Meritorious students of Pharmacy were honoured on the occasion. Dr M. Venkateshwarlu, DCGI graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Prof. S. S. Agrawal, Director DIPSAR, delivered the key note address on the theme of the week “KNOW YOUR PHARMACIST: FOR RIGHT USE OF MEDICINES“

IX. MTNL HEALTH MELA

DIPSAR in association with Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI) and Maulana Azad Medical College organized Inter- college festival at 16th MTNL Perfect Health Mela held at NDMC Mini Stadium, Laxmi Bai Nagar, from Oct 10- Oct 17, 2009. Dr Monica Gupta coordinated various inter college competitions.

X. HANUMAN JAYANTI MAHOTSAV

The celebrations for Hanuman Jayanti were organised on 30.03.10 by PG and Ph.D students of DIPSAR. Prayers were offered by Prof S.S.Agrawal and Prof. B.P.Srinivasan along with rest of the staff. Later students organized Prasad for everybody.

XII. COMMONWEALTH GAMES AWARENESS CYCLE RALLYM

Some Students of DIPSAR participated in Commonwealth Games Awareness Cycle Rally, organized by D.T.T.E, Flagged by Honorable Chief Minister of N. Delhi on 1.11.09 from Rajghat.

XII. BHAGIDARI MELA

Bhagidari mela called Sankalp Utsav-2009 was organised at pragati Maidan on 21st and 22nd Feb, 2009. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurated the annual “Bhagidari mela. Students from DIPSAR participated in the ‘utsav’. They displayed several posters and banners to make people aware of the toxicity due to cosmetics, dentrifices, herbals etc.

Every Friday, after the college hours latest movies are shown as a part of stress relieving activity.
